Abuse Policy
Effective date: 10/10/2026
Bannervanta is a banner advertising exchange operated by Zovanta Software Co. This policy explains how we handle misuse of our platform, advertisements and connected websites. It supplements our Acceptable Use Policy and Terms of Service.
Reporting abuse
Send reports to sales-at-bannervanta-dot-app. Include the website URL, banner or placement identifier if available, a description of the problem, dates and supporting screenshots or records. Do not send passwords, full payment card details or unlawful material. For copyright complaints, use our DMCA Policy. For an immediate threat to a person's safety, contact the appropriate emergency service.
Reports may concern malicious links, phishing, fraudulent advertising, impersonation, unauthorized use of content, manipulated traffic, harassment, adult content displayed without site permission, or other policy violations.
Review and protective action
We review reports using available information, platform records and information supplied by the parties. We may request clarification. We do not guarantee a specific response time or outcome. We may pause or remove advertisements, restrict placements, freeze questionable credits or rewards, disable links, suspend accounts or preserve relevant records while investigating. Urgent protective action may occur before notice.
Approval of an advertisement is not an endorsement or a guarantee that its destination is safe or lawful. Advertisers remain responsible for their content, claims and destinations. Hosting members remain responsible for the lawful operation of their websites.
Enforcement and appeals
Actions depend on severity, evidence, recurrence and risk. Serious or repeated abuse can result in account termination and invalidation of fraudulently obtained credits or rewards. Legitimately owed amounts and mandatory consumer rights remain subject to applicable law. Suspension does not automatically cancel a separate recurring payment arrangement; consult our Billing Policy.
You may request review through [SUPPORT EMAIL], identifying the affected account and explaining the alleged error. We may withhold details that would expose another person's private information or undermine security. We do not promise an appeal will restore an account.
Cooperation and truthful reporting
We may disclose information when legally required or reasonably necessary to investigate fraud, protect people or systems, or respond to lawful process, as described in our Privacy Policy. Deliberately false reports, retaliatory complaints and fabricated evidence are prohibited. We cannot remove content from websites we do not control, but may stop promoting or linking to it.
Evidence, confidentiality and practical limits
Keep original records where possible. A report should distinguish a complaint about a banner served by Bannervanta from a complaint about unrelated content on the advertiser's website. Provide enough detail to identify the affected advertisement and receiving website. Do not submit personal information about an uninvolved person merely to pressure another member.
We may retain a report, relevant account identifiers, affected content, delivery records and communications for investigation, dispute resolution and lawful recordkeeping. We may disclose enough information to an affected member to permit a response, but will avoid unnecessary disclosure of reporter details where practicable. We cannot promise anonymity or confidentiality against lawful demands or information needed for a fair investigation. Copyright counter-notices have separate disclosure requirements.
Reports can be mistaken or malicious. We may consider independent records and responses before imposing a final sanction. An advertisement disappearing from the exchange does not mean a legal violation has been established, and an account remaining active does not certify its content. We may use temporary restrictions to manage risk without making a public accusation.
Destination changes and repeated misconduct
Changing a destination after approval, introducing malicious scripts, redirecting to materially different content or removing an age restriction can trigger new review and immediate suspension. Members must inform us of material changes affecting compliance. Rotating domains or accounts to evade an existing restriction is prohibited.
We may link repeated incidents where supported by evidence, rather than treating each new banner as unrelated. We will not disclose private investigation details simply to satisfy another member's curiosity. Attempts to intimidate staff, fabricate evidence or interfere with enforcement may independently violate the Terms.
